Illegals and Islam, again!

Well, here today in London, we have another car bomb scare. Aren't they the so called Islamofascist terrorists that liberals say don't exist?  Does anyone think that liberals around the globe are just silly and inane when they still do not understand the evil of Islamofascism?? Well, I sure do. We were told by those brilliant Democrat liberal Senators in the Senate and even some RINO, GOP Senators, that illegals posed no threat to our culture. If we would only give all 12-20 million illegals amnesty, things would be fine. Of course, there was no serious attempt to delete terrorists, pedophiles, gangsters from these illegals.  Enforcement of our laws on the borders would all be taken care of by the fairies , dwarfs or angels. What will it take to convince liberals that the USA has an international enemy which hates us, Israel, Christians, Jews and infidels of all types? What will it take to convince liberals that illegal immigration must be stopped now at the border? Apparently, when a new bombing takes place in the USA, liberals will just blame Bush, Christians or Israel but not the fact that our borders are open sewers for bilge to flow into this nation and damage it!

What is Fair?

In the last few days, there has been an outcry in Congress, in some churches, and some states for FAIRNESS.  Now what they mean as far as I can discern, is fairness which will give their side the ADVANTAGE.  In Congress, some liberal Democrat and even some wussy Republican Senators are talking about how unfair Talk Radio is to some of Congress' pet laws and tax raises. Oh poor them!  Senator Feinstein wants Talk Radio restricted so conservatives, Christians by implication , do not rule the airwaves because it is unfair to liberals, the Godless by implication and  people who are a success!. Yep, Rush, Sean, Laura et al are successes because they entertain, give facts the MSM will not give, and even allow religious material to be read and discussed. Oh my! The Left cannot compete and no one listens to their tripe so they whine for FAIRNESS.  The state of Mass. will not allow its own citizens to vote on so called Gay Marriage. Why? It will be unfair to homosexuals. Yipe! Unfair? What about democracy? What about the freedom to vote? Well, Democrats who run most of the unions in America, don't want their own members to have a secret ballot either. So guess what Party and groups do not understand the free market system? Gee, do I have to give you another hint. Well, in the left wing Episcopal Church, the Bishops are finally wondering if morality or the Bible or even their vows have anything to do with Blessing gay marriages or civil union or whatever homosexuals deem their hookups. And in many Mainline churches, the leaders hate the fact that the congregations know more about the Bible and morality than they do. By the way, they congregations understand political, foreign policy issues, and domestic issues for this nation than the leadership in many leftist congregations do too. And boy howdy is that not fair. Or whatever the whiners and wussies on the Left deem fair today. Let's hope the free enterprise system, democracy, liberty is still around for our grandchildren. With the whining leftists and people who don't understand morality today, one wonders if this will still be the LAND OF THE FREE IN SAY, 40 YEARS.

Are you as sick and tired of Islamofascist murder as I am?

Today, more murders, more violence, more thugs, all featured in Palestine, Iraq, Lebanon, and other areas of that wonderful area named The Middle East.  Guess what?  All the murders, thuggery are caused as they have over the last 50 years, by Muslim militants. You can appease them and they still murder you. Ask Lebanon and Israel. Or ask the USA. We stupidly are still financing the Pals, Fatah, and other so called more moderate KILLERS than just the Hamas, Al Q jihadists that supposedly we are fighting! Frankly, I am sick and tired of all Islamofascists and their tired rhetoric that pleads for understanding, more  money, more land and then blast us by saying DEATH TO THE GREAT SATAN! Or, Israel must be demolished. And just once, I want to see some American Muslims come out foursquare against all, all,all Islamofascists. Not with nuances. Again, I pray that God builds a Wall around Palestine and fill it with water!

The best Father role???

Well, of course, many posters all over The Net will be talking about Father's Day and stories which will either bore or enthrall us.  Tomorrow, I will be actually preaching on the topic. For 20 years, I have had this duty and liked doing it because many men, married or not still do not take Fatherhood as a role which is very important . Of course, with all the stats and studies on this, one would think that anyone alive or breathing would see stuff on TV , read it on The Net or at least hear it from somebody. If not the Government, schools, churches, synagogues somewhere! But, so many communites have absentee fathers and we have so many silly feminists saying men and fathers are not necessary anymore that conflict and confusion are natural byproducts of this complexity.  Preaching on a role is hard. Many in our secular society do not like to refer to God as an example.  But, after all, for thousands of years, the Biblical God has been cited as the Father of Creation, the Father of Humanity, God the Father of Jesus. I actually believe that today and will cite such material Sunday. Psalm 27 will be my text. There are many contributions and characteristics of fatherhood from which human dads can take some examples. Reading the Bible and using the Father's Heart of Love is not a bad idea for such an example. A Father for the single, the widows, the orphens, the poor, the weak, the depressed, and even a replacement for missing or cruel-stupid-evil human fathers can be found in God the Father. Perhaps readers will cringe when I write this. Some will not understand that there is a Father we cannot see but who is there and cares for all 6 billion people on earth.  Perhaps some people will try to reach out to that Father tomorrow because their experience with human fathers has been very poor and frightening. It is worth the effort.

What is noble today?

Today, it is difficult to hear about or read about, what is noble for Americans, our government, whatever institution we could cite, is doing something noble for people, the state, the nation or the world. Why?  Because there is so much pessimism, cynicism from people about almost anything that years ago would have been thought of or written about as noble.  It was noble to defeat Totalitarianism in WWII and I believe in the Cold War. But, today, many people do not want to face facts about the evil and worldwide horror of Islamofascism.  More people in the USA think that Global Warming is more important. That  is nonsense , of course. But, people are becoming more isolationinst in staying around their own homes instead of acting by fighting evil around them or even in their nation or moreover, in a foreign nation.  Would drilling for water in Mali be a noble thing if a Christian organization does it with church offerings. Or would that be interfering in a nation's culture because Mali if filled with Muslims?? Is the UN a noble organization? No, I do not think it is. But, I do think America helping the world in other incidents via our own personal or church or charitible organizations in the USA is a noble thing. We do not need Government or a political party to decide those compassionate noble efforts.  BTW, it is also noble to defend a hopeless, attacked people from murdering dictators.  We are doing it now in Iraq and we are being blasted for it.  Yet, itis noble.  As was Korea, even Viet Nam and even Somalia.  Now Americans do not like to suffer much nowadays.  That is OK but suffering to actually win a righteous cause is worth it. WWII was worth it.  A generational war against Islamofascism will be worth it if we maintain our courage.  If we fail, noble efforts will have been wasted because future children will be taught in madrasses!

Are spiritual people in the USA represented today?

Well, of course they are. Of course religious, spiritual people are represented in America today. Oh, some are represented even more than some others. Nowadays, American cities, schools, city governments, even churches are so afraid of radical Islam, that they are kow towing to any islamic views tht arise in their communities even if they are not radical. And the public is being told, love it or shove it. Political correctness is going to kill our culture and economy and sovereignty if  Americans don't speak and act up. Yep, words are not enough. Phone calls, emails, actually going to city council meetings, school board meetings, Government web-sites, and imparting your views is a necessity to keep this nation free and to denounce false ideas, religions, stances, policies. Frankly, I am sick and tired of so called leaders telling Americans that they have to accept every culture, every religion as taught and shown without complaint because that makes you a racist, a phobe of something or other. Suppose bestiality was thrown up as the fad of the day? Well, other ideas, life styles have been thrown up at Americans and the demand is , accept it or you are a bigot.  Say, how bout, jihadism? Should we just accept that? How bout child sacrifice as some ancient esoteric religions practiced? Or the wonderful old Hindu practice of throwing the wife of a dead warrior on the fire heap  because he was gone? Why not go along with polygamy?  There are some ideas, cults, stances one cannot take into our culture because it is not in our heritage, tradition, or history. And what about the American Constitution? Throw it out  because some other fad arises as the stand of the day?  We should have freedom of religion, from religion and make sure Govt. never elevates one above the other as a State Religion. But, don't tell a nation which has a heritage, a history and a Judeo-Christian Western Civilization ethic, that it must kow tow to every idea coming down the lane because it is politically correct!

Did God bless the USA?

I was walking my dog as I do 3 times each day. She is very needy, an Aussie Boder Collie who gets my wife to do the same. Since she was injured very severely, we do it and love doing it too. I was born in America; in Philadelphia in 1939. My wife was born in Austria, in 1942. She had Nazis and Commies control Vienna as a child. Her father was consripted and shot by the Russians on the Eastern Front. Her brave mom brought her and brother over to America in 1959.  We have now been married for 27 years since our first marriages failed due to, well, sin but not in overt actions. We were forgiven. Jesus does that! So I was walking my dog and thinking of the beauty of my neighborhood. I was thinking of my life in the USA. Many Americans from the colonial days on have said that America was a city set on a holy hill. Many cynics today poo pooh all of this and call America Fascist, imperial, unfair. My view? Are these people nuts? Is the media and our pagan culture today crazy?  Yes, you bet they are. This nation has been blessed by the Creator with beauty, freedom, liberty, inventions, a Bill of Rights, a wonderful Constitution, many great neighbors, friends, families made up of every ethnic, religious, and color groups in the world. Some of this is good, some is not.  But, this nation has freedom, freedom and more freedom. There are also models of restraint, rules, trends, heritage, history, language (at least until our whole culture is changed by either war, illegal immigration, or natural disasters) which try to keep us all together. Our heritage has been largely until the last few years, the Judeo-Christian Western Worldview. It is a great view and culture and religious tradition. It promotes freedom, forgiveness, repentance, a new start for losers and winners, grace, even salvation. No other worldview or nation provides this. That is why we are flooded by people who want those blessings. My gripe nowadays is just how many people are bitter, angry, anti-God, anti-American, anti-freedom, anti-capitalistic, anti-democratic. Frankly, they are ingrates. They are people who don't just walk their dog and see the beauty, the liberty, the inventions, the lifestyles, the love of a Creator God who for some reason blessed this nation. Those days may indeed be coming to an end. For one reason, God is not pleased with unthankfulness. Ingrates are not appreciated by humanity and not just humanity!

Odd Ducks

Memorial Day has passed but think of how many odd ducks all round the globe that have been honored because they died for freedom. Think of the people who write articles on faith, freedom, sacrifice who are not in the so called mainstream of thought, the elites, even those who people love for good looks, intellect or fame and fortune. Think of all the odd ducks in the Bible who didn't gain much in fame or fortune but got much in love, grace and insight from our Creator God Jesus Christ. Look at some pictures of these people in the papers, in obituaries, in scrap books. Not all of these people would win any beauty contests. Isaiah talks about Jesus as not very comely. An odd duck!  Jesus died for odd ducks. All people are odd in some way or another.  A lot of our heroes in America were odd ducks and died for other odd ducks. To me, a hero is one who lays down his or her life for someone that they may not even know. Jesus knew all of us down the years of history, odd ducks all.  He died to give us life eternal but abundant life right now. It is not easy to be an odd duck. To be outside of the normal, so called mainstream of life. Artists, writers, sports' stars, dancers, pastors, yep, even pastors, are often odd ducks. I am. But, I am very glad that Jesus looked at my oddity, my personality and still accepted me as I by faith accepted his sacrifice for me. I need his touch daily and as an odd duck, I pray for other odd ducks to allow the Lord of Odd Ducks , Jesus Christ to enter their lives and fellowship with Him eternally.

An immoral Bill

Should Christians and people of faith just stand back and accept this horrendous Immigration Bill? Should they give in to the view that we must be good neighbors ala the Good Samaritan?  I think not. This is an immoral bill.  1. It allows without analysis people illegally into this nation and the citizens and legal immigrants will have to redistribute their money to keep the illegals in welfare, education, health care, public safety and shoes!  2.  It allows people from the Middle East, even from terrorist nations who have sneaked in here illegally, to get the same deal as illegals from China, or any Hispanic area, Mexico, El Salvador et al.  That is not only immoral , it is insane. 3. The Heritage Foundation has proved with stats that our Social Security and Medicare systems, meant for American citizens will be bankrupt when these illegals made legal by fiat, take advantage of a system their home nations do not have.  4. It changes the entire heritage of America. There is not reason or justification that a nation founded on law, justice, traditions, language, history has to allow its borders to be overun and amnesty given to people just because their own nations will not deal with them.  To commit national suicide because the elites in Washi ngton want it to occur to fill their coffers and voting roles is not a moral reason to pass this bill. 5. To enforce this Bill  because of national security reasons is a moral reason.  But that is not this Bill!

China,Islam and Illegals

What a world we live in. There are some great things that we all should be praising God for and yet the media and international affairs bulletins are filled with upsetting things that impinge on our daily lives. Each issue threatens to undermine our peace and quiet. Stability and not change is what humans crave. Yet, change is relentless since no change means statis and finally death. The USA actually faces Red China, Islam and ongoing illegal immigration problems in foreign affairs and that leaves out N.Korea and Iran. Wow. What a blowback at our internal peace. I wonder how many people depend on the Biblical God to give them peace when these affairs hurl their arrows into our presence? The Bible says it is important that we do that or we will lose any stability and peace to face even more desparate problems such as personal disases, impending death and loss of loved ones. We are not victims , however. We humans are actually built of stern material since it was the Creator who made us this way. With Him, we can face many many problems that would overwhelm lesser people. Be thankful for the fact that with all our problems internationally, God hasn't left the scene even if cynics like Chris Hitchens thinks He has.

Which political-values issue are moral issues too?

OK, it is crunch time already in America on the political scene. It is also morality time. It is also values time.  In fact, just what political issues are also values and moral issues?  As with beauty, it is in the eye of the beholder. From a Judeo-Christian worldview, the one I hold, there are some obvious issues.  1. war and peace.  2.  crime and punishment. 3. The 7 deadly sins and even more!  4. now what??  I can make a case for more than abortion. How 'bout illegal immigration? How 'bout high taxes and high prices which affect more than the poor? Can moral equations found in the Bible be political issues too? Will people agree on all of these? Of course not. But, isn't is important that people with a Judeo-Christian worldview still speak out even if legislation doesn't go their way. Of course. But, remember, we do not live in Jesus' Millenial Kingdom. We live in this world dimension in America with a free enterprise democratic republican form of government. We actually have a Constitution. Most Americans don't know what is in it but that is another question. They don't understand free enterprise capitalism with supply and demand either. In fact, most people of the Judeo-Christian worldview don't much understand their own Holy Book nor are they sure whether God is still the arbiter of their values as well as their political decisions. I think that as much as I can discern, my moral values that come from the Bible do impact much of my political life and voting record. Of course, I am human , a sinner, fallible and make many mistakes. Still, like I bet millions of others in America, I try to see God's hand in politics as well as anything else in our culture. I side with those issues, voting records, legislation in which I see God's will. At least I try hard to do so.  I think Christians have that responsibility. They cannot hide their heads when our nation faces the crises that it faces today.  So I will vote, write letters, fax representatives on all the issues that impinge on my outlook. I did today. I'll bet you know what issue captured my fancy today!

Will politicians ever talk on moral issues, say tonight?

SO, WILL ANY POLITICAN EVER SPEAK OUT ON MORAL ISSUES OR HAS THE MEDIA SO SCARED THEM THAT THEY REFUSE TO BE SERIOUS ON FAMILY VALUES? Tonight, in S.C . there should be a perfect chance to ask real serious moral, values, and cultural issues to the 10 candidates who want to represent The Republican Party. I would love it if the media did the same thing when questioning the Democrat candidates. But, I will see the Phillies, Eagles and 76ers all win world championships before that happens!! Note, that the media will blast Rudy and Mitt over their moral views on just one question, abortion. But, no other value will be mentioned. Perhaps tonight, Britt Hume and Chris Wallace will ask the 10 some good moral questions, say on war and peace, welfare, illegal immigration and gang problems that are affecting the crime problems in the USA. Many watchers and listeners would love to see leadership on those questions. Moral views have always been important for American voters. It has only been recently, when morals are forgotten to protect certain protected groups and politicians. That is a shame since values count, character counts, even if the Mass Media doesn't believe it. Well, let us see if something happens tonight that will change people's minds on the candidate. I sure hope so. America deserves it.

Faith, politics, salvation, the whole ball of wax!

In our secular society today, it is very hard to discuss and impart faith in one's own family notwithstanding the call by Jesus to spread the Gospel to the world!!! One's own family may have stoppened ears just because they know you too well. And what about the kids? In our divided culture, there are streams of humanism, liberalism, conservatism and all other isms pounding the consciences of all Americans as well as the world's population. Sure we live in the Post Modern World today, but the call and salvation of Jesus never changes. The problem is, will prayer, fasting, and other religious disciplines open the ears and eyes of those we live with and love? Or should our prayer be for the Lord to send someone who can actually inter-act with youngsters, family members who are either Boomers, Busters, or even Yippies? Just what should the strategy be? Seeker-friendly? Kinship groups? The time is coming for many of us in our lives that our kids are no longer kids; they are 45-50 and choices have to be made because consequences are there on a daily level and basis. No one is a 'spring chicken' anymore in some families. Those times years ago on the beaches , for me, of South Jersey in Cape May are no more. I could wile my way on the beach, swim, flirt, even work. The times were golden. But, now supposedly, my wife and I are living in our 'golden years'. Does that strike a chord? If we are in those years, what about our friends or kids who have not made their ETERNAL CHOICE? It is hard enough to convince people to elect the right politicians on issues such as tax cuts, war against Jihadism, Court appointees, abortion, school prayer and school choice. It is far harder nowadays to get people in America to make their ETERNAL CHOICE since they still think they are back at the beach!!!

Should pastors get involved in politics?

Yep, I think pastors over our 200 plus years of being in America have always spoken out on many issues. In colonial days, in the Revolution, during the Civil War, WWI, WWII and so on. But, nowadays, the liberal media, liberal churchmen, and even politicians do not want CERTAIN church people to speak out. Oh it is OK if protected classes and pastors who are PC speak out, but heaven to Betsy, if a conservative, Evangelical, even Republican pastor speaks out, the world ends with so called 'separation of state' conundrums. Well, tomorrow, in Downey, Ca, I will get a chance to speak to Citizens for Downey on How the Judeo-Christian worldview affects local, state, national and international affairs. I am glad nobody has decided to censor me or put me in jail as has been done in many nations throughout the globe. Still, there may come a time in America when this will happen. All in the name of fairness and tolerance, don't you know? Bill Bennett, Dennis Prager, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and others are right. This still is what Ronald Reagan called it, America a city set on a Hill, for the world. We still have the right , even as pastors, to speak out but one wonders how long , even in America, this will last.

Best Sellers??

I noted today that the last Left Behind book, Kingdom Come , was on the NYTimes best seller's list. I have read the last 6 of these books in the last two weeks. They are chock full of scripture and really are exciting as adventure novels. Then there is still the best seller, The Bible. Yet, so many Christians and , needless to say, a majority of others in the world, do not read it or peruse it with a shallow understanding. Not many people are willing to believe that troubled times has anything to do with a universal God and Savior and not one who is not multicultural and multireligious!!! No one in our PC world today is apt to want to see a Soverign God who says Jesus Christ is the only God and Savior in the world and that is that! The media would barf and run for the hills if they had to believe it or even report on it. Unless, of course, they could ridicule that and scoff. Yet, look at the times we are in. People are already yelling for someone or something to end all wars. Not God of course, but someone. People yearn for peace just not God's peace. People say to let them alone when they make choices. Especially when they make the wrong choices and please, don't anyone tell me how to use my mind, body and motives. Odd that the media just loves that way humans act; since it looks and feels right to them. The same goes for political parties, universities, school systems and even some courts. Yet, if the best sellers I mentioned above are right, and you know that in this fair, liberal PC world we live in, they could be, there is a way that seems right to man but not to God.  Look, everyone makes choices. And since we are all sinners( yes, I am afraid that is right and nothing will change my mind on that) there is going to be a day when all will be judged. Yes, I know no one is to judge anymore on anything, any idea, morals, manners or ideology, but someday, God will judge. At least take this into consideration as you live out your life. The all time best seller, the Bible, says that Jesus offers salvation , will judge, does love us and we must make choices. Oh and we must do it before we die!!
