The upcoming election will show whether the nation is ready for socialism, pacifism, and isolationism. One then must ask themselves, can goodness come out of this policy nationally? Has the Government made our citizens Dependents and made them expect that the producers in our society must, have to, are mandated to support all the non-productive. And I am not talking about physically and mentally crippled people. Is the Welfare State moral? Is a State which will not protect its citizens internationally, domestically and especially centered on our national security, good and moral? I don't think so. The Constitution promises that the President's first priority is to protect the USA from internationally horrors and warfare. It does not promise that our citizens must take care of everyone who yells for that support. And please don't raise the spectre of the separation of church and state. We now know that even Jefferson knew that religion was important to national integrity as did Franklin,Washington, Hamilton, and Madison. Individuals can and must do good to keep our nation free. That does not mean that our citizens should be forced into a failed series of socialist policies that have never worked round the globe. It does mean that we should stand up for freedom, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness which does not mean government mandates to make everyone equally mediocre! Mandated taxes for weird laws are not done for liberty. Gas taxes, global warming taxes, taxes on SS, are not done to give freedom to the poor and middle class tax payers. Today, the old phrase, that government which governs least, governs best is still the best way to initiate personal liberties,opportunities, and achievements.
