Today, in the NY Observer, lefty Joe Connason once again blasts religious Republicans, evangelicals, Christian TV as a bunch of hypocrites. He has some truth there but forgets the leftist so called Christians trying to close the GOD GAP that Time magazine has in its latest issue. Senator David Vitter of La. was caught in an immoral situation. Of course, in order to downgrade the Moral Majority who is still in the Republican Party, Joe and other leftist haters denigrate all Evangelicals for their sins. What gets me is that for 60 years, liberals have been downgrading Christians and telling us that America is a secular state and should stay that way. Meanwhile, the liberal Democrats have for years supported every immoral group, homosexual groups, porn shops, ACLU travesties, left wing dictators, alternative life styles with mixed genders-you name it, abortion on demand, any ethnic group criminal because of course we should not BE JUDGEMENTAL. Connason repeats charges that Evangelical Christians are judgemental and American voters should forget them and support those nice fair liberal politicians who are 'religious' too. Joe says the voters should distrust anyone on the Evangelical side who judges the religion of liberal Christians. Look, Joe. Forget the politics of it. There is no thing as liberal Christianity or conservative Christianity in the Bible. There are only real born again followers-disciples of Jesus. Unless a person has an inner transformation of his spirit, soul and mind, that person is not a Christian. Period. For leftist Joe to pile on Vitter is itself hypocritical. I have read Joe for years. He never has criticized any sins on the Left. Never. The moral issues of the Bible can be broken by so called liberals over and again, but you won't see Joe or other liberal writers or theologians denouncing them. To the Left, catching Clinton in a lie was not the problem. It was that people criticized a President who lied. To the Left, immorality never stopped them from supporting adultery, lying or any other sin. Now when a Christian on the political Right sins, oh boy, now it is time to hit them and prevent any judgemental attitudes from that side of the aisle. Sorry Joe. I will ask for grace, mercy, forgiveness for anyone IF I SEE REPENTANCE. THE SAME GOES FOR HOW JESUS LOOKS AT ALL SINNERS. While we are at it Joe, how goes your life in Jesus? I am a sinner Joe and personally, I am up and down but at least I know I am a sinner forgiven by the blood and resurrection and Spirit of Jesus. How ' bout you Joe?
