The future of our nation seems to be stumbling toward a new historical epoch in the next few years. It seems that our history is moving us toward a Surrender mentality in our war against Islamofascism and in the war in Iraq. And we seem Congressionally to be moving toward not only pacifism in our foreign policy which is suicidal but socialism in our tax systems, our health care, Medicare, Social Security is trending toward a far different society from our democratic republic and free enterprise system of our Founders. Is that moral? I think it is statist and could lead to an even more Fascist state that America's detractors think is extant in the Bush Administration today. Now the Judeo-Christian worldview and heritage does not give any one economic or political system a Star. Still, under its sway, America, the British Empire and others have had the above systems in part due to a huge emphasis on personal freedom and liberty. Something that the Bible avers. One is free in Christ and one is free under a system of freedom. Oddly, the Bible also states that a final Government of the World will be a Sovereign King in Jesus but while that is not in this dimension today, with a shift toward a more totalitarian state, it may be closer than we think. Also, as this nation is threatened by Islamofascism as we surrender in the Middle East, Israel falling apart, and the EU and UN gaining some stature, one might see all that prophecy that so many think is nutty actually coming true. We shall have to wait and see but for me, I hope we do not surrender in either our economic or political-foreign affairs areas. Personally, I love both the freedom of our American system and of my Lord and Savior.
