Yep, I think pastors over our 200 plus years of being in America have always spoken out on many issues. In colonial days, in the Revolution, during the Civil War, WWI, WWII and so on. But, nowadays, the liberal media, liberal churchmen, and even politicians do not want CERTAIN church people to speak out. Oh it is OK if protected classes and pastors who are PC speak out, but heaven to Betsy, if a conservative, Evangelical, even Republican pastor speaks out, the world ends with so called 'separation of state' conundrums. Well, tomorrow, in Downey, Ca, I will get a chance to speak to Citizens for Downey on How the Judeo-Christian worldview affects local, state, national and international affairs. I am glad nobody has decided to censor me or put me in jail as has been done in many nations throughout the globe. Still, there may come a time in America when this will happen. All in the name of fairness and tolerance, don't you know? Bill Bennett, Dennis Prager, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and others are right. This still is what Ronald Reagan called it, America a city set on a Hill, for the world. We still have the right , even as pastors, to speak out but one wonders how long , even in America, this will last.
