By now we all know about the Imus affair and the Rutgers team. What is weird is that free speech seems to have taken a blow but so does the idea of integrity, class, politeness, manners and acceptance. The race hustlers such as Sharpton and Jackson are indeed hypocrites as they have allowed the Rappers, the Hip Hoppers and the rest of Black Culture stars get away with using inappropriate language, foul allusions to people and women especially along with policemen and people of morals in lyrics and interviews. So now the Left is off on its PC attack against free speech if it is used against the Left's protected classes, people, stars, and culture. Soon, mark my words, it will be seen that the Left will be blasting Conservative Christians if they stick up for Christian morality, culture, heritage and the person of Jesus Christ. Even in church. Wait and see. Things and events and sayings that we know are awful and sinful will be accepted by the PC Culture watchers while things and events and sayings we know have Biblical acceptance will be outlawed and shunned. Wait and see. In the middle is the poor black communities which face horrid problems other than rock lyrics. They face illigitmacy, crime, gangs, welfare problems, lack of jobs and housing and much of it is caused by playing the victim as well as discrimination. The black communites actually believe that Sharpton and Jackson will speak for them in improving their lot not realizing that their own infrastructure and cultural icons have feet of clay! And btw, where is free speech for people who want to improve the lives of all Americans even if it may torch some sacred ideas and culture which no longer apply in logic and fact in those communities? We shall see if real debate over all these issues is allowed or whether leftist PC status is put forward as the only groundwork and game rules for that debate.
